Chelsea Discouraged by Nottingham Forest’s Asking Price for Defender

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Chelsea has expressed interest in signing Nottingham Forest center-back Murillo, according to reports.

The 21-year-old had an impressive debut season in the Premier League and is being pursued by several top clubs, including Liverpool.

With Thiago Silva departing for Fluminense and uncertainty over Trevoh Chalobah’s future, Chelsea sees Murillo as a potential reinforcement under new head coach Enzo Maresca.

Nottingham Forest, however, has set a high asking price for Murillo, reportedly demanding ‘way over’ £50 million.

This hefty fee might deter Chelsea, who have already walked away from deals for Michael Olise and Nico Williams due to financial constraints under the Premier League‘s Profitability and Sustainability rules.

Chalobah, despite a strong finish to last season after recovering from injury, could still be sold by Chelsea.

As an academy product, any transfer fee for him would be pure profit, aligning with the club’s financial strategy.

Similarly, Chelsea is looking to offload Ian Maatsen to Aston Villa permanently, which would also aid their financial position.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is open to offers for striker Armando Broja, valuing him around £35 million.

Conor Gallagher is another player on the transfer list, although decisions regarding his future will wait until after Euro 2024, with interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham.
