Arsenal possible starting line-up against relegation threatened Leeds United

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has a couple of fresh fitness concerns ahead of the home clash with Leeds United in the Premier League.

The duo of Takehiro Tomiyasu and Egypt’s Mohamed Elneny have undergone injuries that would keep them out till the end of the season.

Even Eddie Nketiah is not expected back soon from his recently sustained ankle issue. Also, Arsenal is yet to confirm the length of William Saliba’s recovery from a back problem.Leeds 0-1 Arsenal highlights | Football News | Sky Sports While Arsenal Scottish star Kieran Tierney and Ghana’s Thomas Partey picked up fresh injuries problems in the international break.

In Saliba’s absence, Rob Holding came in and put in a decent shift in the classy win over Crystal Palace, meaning Holding would pair up with Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of Arsenal’s defence. Left-back option Tierney was never going to start ahead of Ukraine’s Oleksandr Zinchenko even if he was fit.

While Ben White would continue without question on the right back in the absence of Tomiyasu.

However, Arsenal could have a lifeline with reports revealing that Partey’s injury is not series at all. And so he could pair up with Granit Xhaka at the base of the midfield.Arsenal 1 - Leeds United 0 match report: phew - The Short Fuse While Skipper Martin Odegaard continues in front of them in the Number 10 role. Bukayo Saka is expected to feature in the left flank with Brazil’s Gabriel Martinelli operating from the opposite flank.

Gabriel Jesus could be considered for a place in the starting lineup after his long injury lay-off at the end of last year.

And this could see Belgian forward Leandro Trossard undeservedly but likely dropping out of the first steam in Jesus’ stead.
