AFCON 2021: We Need Your Prayers To Be Successful – Eguavoen

Newly appointed interim coach of the Super Eagles, Austine Eguavoen has called on Nigerians to support them with prayers in order to be successful at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Eguavoen, who was appointed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after the sacking of Gernot Rohr on Sunday, stated that the technical team can’t achieve anything without the support and prayers of Nigerians.

“This is not about Eguavoen or Salisu, it is about Nigeria. The new technical crew need everyone prayer and support from Nigerians,” he stated.

“We must believe in our own and we are open to constructive criticism that will make our Super Eagles better.”

Eguavoen will work with Salisu Yusuf, Paul Aigbogun, Joseph Yobo, Dr Terry Eguaoje and Aloysius Agu.

Former captains Augustine ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu and Garba Lawal will provide technical and ambassadorial support.
