Italy based Super Eagles defender, Tyronne Ebuehi, will join the rest of the national team players in the Eagles camp in Garoua on January 6, 2022.
This has been confirmed by the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick.
The former Benfica and FC Twente defender who was initially not in the final 28-man list of the Super Eagles to AFCON was drafted into the squad by Augustine Eguavoen following an injury to Cyprus-baswd Shehu Abdullahi.
“We spoke with Ebuehi and he was excited to join the squad,” Pinnick said in an interview on Arise TV on Monday.
“We noticed we had some lapses in the defence and we had to draft some more players in that department.”
Ebuehi has made 14 appearances since he joined Venezia on a season-long loan deal from Benfica this season.
