Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche has quickly become one of La Liga’s most talked-about stars, and his meteoric rise at Getafe has caught the eye of Newcastle United and Aston Villa, IsaGoal can report.
Uche’s journey from Spain’s third tier to top-flight standout has sparked serious Premier League interest this summer.
Signed for just €500,000 from AD Ceuta last year, the 22-year-old Nigerian has flourished under José Bordalás, contributing 4 goals and 7 assists in 38 appearances during the 2024–25 season.
His dynamic style, combining power, pace, and tactical versatility, has made him a regular in Getafe’s lineup — whether as a central midfielder or second striker.
Uche’s market value has skyrocketed to €15–20 million, and with a €25 million release clause set to activate soon, English clubs are circling.
Getafe president Ángel Torres confirmed the player’s desire to move: “Uche doesn’t even know what he wants. He has offers from Serie A, but he wants to leave only if he goes to the Premier League, I don’t know why.”
A transfer would provide a significant boost to Getafe’s summer plans and also benefit Ceuta, who reportedly hold a 12–20% sell-on clause — potentially earning €2.5–4 million if the deal reaches €20 million.
