Manchester United have officially unveiled their new 2025/2026 scholar intake—and 16-year-old Nigerian forward Noah Ajayi is the standout name, IsaGoal can report.

According to Manchester United’s official website, Ajayi was among 12 rising talents who signed their scholarship agreements at a special event held at Old Trafford on Monday.

The young Nigerian attacker has already made headlines after featuring for both the U18 and U21 teams last season while still a schoolboy.

Ajayi made his Premier League 2 debut on April 11 in a 4-1 win over Reading, coming on in the final six minutes.

In a remarkable show of fitness and talent, he played again just a day later in the U18 Premier League, helping United to a 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest.

Now fully promoted to the U18s, Ajayi will also be registered in the U21 squad for the upcoming Premier League season.

All scholars, including Ajayi, will travel to adidas HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany, for a pre-season training camp with United’s Professional Development Phase squad.

“Playing for Manchester United at this level means everything,” Ajayi said. “I’m grateful and focused on giving my best every time I step on the pitch.”

Ajayi follows in the footsteps of fellow Nigerian youth prospects Habeeb Ogunneye, Victor Musa, and Chido Obi—all of whom featured for the academy last season.

The 2025/26 intake is seen as one of United’s most exciting groups in years, with scouts and coaches raving about the new generation’s potential.
