Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, had a special ritual while he was competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
In an interview with Urbana Play 104.3 FM’s “Perros de la Calle” radio program, Messi revealed that before going to bed each night during the tournament, they would talk and reflected on how far he had come in chasing his dream of lifting the World Cup trophy.
Despite both eager for their respective home countries to win, they united in wanting Messi to become world champion – something which he did accomplish at last.
This shared sentiment likely helped fuel his success as Messi is now officially regarded by many as the greatest of all time (GOAT).
