Fernando Santos, the manager who previously coached Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal’s national team, has just been appointed as the new head coach of Poland’s football team.
During a press conference on Tuesday to announce his latest job, Santos expressed his honour at being given this opportunity.
“It is an honour for us because we are talking about a great country,” said the 68-year-old.
He highlighted the fact that Poland has a wealth of history and culture that he is looking forward to exploring in his new role.
