Kelechi Iheanacho may be heading for a fresh start in Turkey after a tough spell in Spain and England — www.isagoal.com reports.
Dominic Iorfa, who once played for Galatasaray, believes the Besiktas move could be the boost Iheanacho needs.
Speaking to Footy-Africa, Iorfa said Turkey offers the perfect environment for the striker to regain his scoring touch.
“He has a lot left to offer and Besiktas could be the right place for him,” Iorfa said.
The Nigerian forward has struggled for minutes at Sevilla since leaving Leicester City.
His loan at Middlesbrough last season did little to improve his situation.
Besiktas are monitoring his availability, with a transfer fee around €3 million being discussed.
Wilfred Ndidi’s presence in Istanbul could make Iheanacho’s transition easier.
A reunion might rekindle the partnership they enjoyed for club and country.
