Tottenham Hotspur is preparing a £50 million bid for England international Marc Guehi, aiming to secure the Crystal Palace defender this summer.

According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham had a £70 million offer rejected earlier this year but now views a reduced bid as a strategic move to strengthen their squad after winning the Europa League.

The north London club hopes their recent trophy win will attract Guehi, who is also a target for Chelsea. Tottenham’s offer could appeal to Crystal Palace, as the club eyes reinvestment from the transfer fee. Guehi fits well with manager Ange Postecoglou’s preference for quick, technically skilled centre-backs capable of playing out from the back.

For Tottenham, Champions League football next season adds another layer of appeal to the deal, especially since Guehi has spent most of his life in London. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, may view the sale as a timely opportunity, with Guehi having just one year left on his contract.

In related transfer news, Manchester United is preparing for the likely exit of Alejandro Garnacho after a challenging season. Fabrizio Romano reports that Garnacho, who started all of United’s knockout ties before being benched in the Europa League final, could leave if a suitable offer emerges. Napoli’s previous £42 million bid was rejected, but a similar fee might be accepted this summer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is focused on strengthening their squad with a potential replacement for goalkeeper Alisson. Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, reportedly valued at £29 million, has confirmed his commitment to join Liverpool next season, aiming to learn from the veteran goalkeeper and contribute immediately.
