Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche has become the subject of transfer interest from Everton, Brentford, and Serie A side Como as the window nears its final stretch – www.isagoal.com reports.
Como are ready to challenge English clubs after Uche’s breakout season with Getafe.
The Nigerian joined Los Azulones from Spanish third-tier club Ceuta last summer for just €500,000 and quickly proved his worth in La Liga.
Uche registered four goals and six assists across 33 league appearances, performances that made him one of Getafe’s most important players.
His impact was rewarded with the club’s iconic number 10 jersey, handed to him shortly after Barcelona gave their teenage star Lamine Yamal the same number.
Reports in Spain suggest Como view Uche as a player who can add strength and creativity to their midfield after finishing 10th in their Serie A debut season.
Everton, Brentford, and even Atletico Madrid have monitored the 22-year-old closely, though no official bids have yet been submitted.
Getafe have placed a €25m valuation on Uche, but Como are expected to test their resolve with an €18m proposal.
Unless a major offer arrives, the midfielder seems likely to remain at Getafe for another season.
