Juventus and Inter Milan are locked in a fresh transfer contest, this time targeting highly rated Venezia forward Alvin Okoro — www.isagoal.com reports.
Tuttosport confirms that both Serie A giants are keeping close tabs on the 20-year-old Italo-Nigerian striker as they ramp up recruitment for their respective B-teams.
Juventus pioneered the concept of U23 squads in Italy, launching their Next Gen side in Serie C back in 2018, a move later mirrored by Atalanta and AC Milan.
However, Milan Futuro’s stint in the third tier ended quickly, as they were relegated to Serie D after just one season.
Now Inter have officially entered the Serie C race with their own B-team and want to avoid Milan’s failed experiment by adding top-level youth talent to the setup.
The Nerazzurri are making a strong push to land Okoro, who spent last season on loan at Vis Pesaro, where he impressed coaches and fans alike.
“Vis Pesaro were so convinced by Okoro’s talent that they attempted to make his move permanent,” reports Tuttosport.
Despite that interest, Venezia opted to recall the young forward, seeing potential value in keeping him within their plans for next season.
Inter are believed to have tabled a formal offer, while Juventus have reportedly suggested a loan deal with a possible obligation to buy.
Other Serie C and B teams like Pescara, Juve Stabia, and Mantova are also interested, but Venezia’s decision will hinge on manager Giovanni Stroppa’s strategy for the 2025/26 campaign.
Okoro, born in Vicenza to Nigerian parents, began his development at Pordenone before making the switch to Venezia in 2022.
With interest heating up, his future could shape part of Italy’s next generation of forward talent.
