RB Leipzig have officially signed Brazilian forward Romulo from Turkish club Göztepe in a deal worth around €25 million – www.isagoal.com reports.
The 23-year-old agreed to a contract running until 2030 and will wear the number 40 shirt in the upcoming Bundesliga season.
According to the club’s statement, Romulo arrives after an impressive year in Turkey where he netted 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 33 appearances.
“Joining RB Leipzig is a huge step in my career,” Romulo said. “I know the Bundesliga demands high intensity, and I’m ready to give everything to succeed.”
His arrival comes as a direct replacement for Benjamin Seško, who recently joined Manchester United in an €85 million transfer.
Romulo’s style of pace, pressing, and sharp finishing is expected to fit seamlessly into Leipzig’s system.
Fans are now eager to see whether he will link up with Xavi Simons or spearhead the attack alone.
