The La Liga match between Valencia and Real Madrid, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed due to deadly flash floods in Spain.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced that all matches in professional and non-professional football in the Valencian Community would be postponed following a request from La Liga and Liga F.

In addition to the Valencia-Real Madrid clash, the match between Villarreal and Rayo Vallecano has also been called off, along with three Segunda Division fixtures.

Matches in women’s football, including Valencia Feminas against Deportivo and Real Madrid vs. Levante, have also been affected.

The RFEF stated that there would be a minute of silence held in honor of the flood victims during this weekend’s Primera and Segunda Division matches.

Spain’s Prime Minister has declared three days of national mourning in memory of those lost in the disaster, which has resulted in at least 158 fatalities, with Valencia being the hardest-hit region.
