Manchester United are welcoming possible buyers to Old Trafford for a comprehensive presentation of what ownership of the team entails.
The Glazer family, who currently own the Red Devils, are looking for £6bn for the club and so far none of the offers have met this valuation.
The visit to Old Trafford is open to all bidders – including INEOS boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Qatar’s Sheik Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and numerous anonymous investors – as well as former AC Milan owners Elliott Group, should they choose to provide funding.
After learning more about the financial possibilities at MUFC and seeing what is on offer, Raine – who are handling the sale – will then urge bidders to make revised offers that reach closer to the asking price.
Representatives from Ratcliffe’s investment vehicle are expected next week with Sheikh Jassim’s party arriving later in the weekend.
