2024 Olympics Games in France is another major sporting event that would start in seven days time, with all sporting action ranging from football, athletics, swimming, cycling, basketball and others taking centre-stage.

The competition would feature some of the best nations alongside their finest athletes and other rising stars set to lite-up the Olympic Games.

Here are the fast-rising stars to follow at the Paris 2024 Olympic.

Salma Paralluelo – (Spain, Football)

Anna Hursey – (Great Britain, Table Tennis)

Wales born Anna Hursey, began playing table tennis at the age of five and first represented her country aged ten.

With the Paris Olympic Games set to start on the 26 July, the Wales born would become an Olympian at the age of 18 years old.

Having won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in women’s double, Hursey would hope to bring her expertise to fore again having honed her skill in one of best nations known for producing and nurturing the best ping-pong players (China).

Phoebe Gill – (Great Britain, Athletics)

Phoebe, another amazing Great Britain’s athlete to follow at the Olympic, as she set to become the youngest British track athlete to compete at an Olympic Games for more than four decades.

The 800m sensation qualified for her Olympic debut in dramatic situation, when she beat Jemma Reekie to win her first British title in June.

Even at 17, expectation for her to break another record having broke the European U-18 800m record by clocking one minute 57.86 seconds two weeks after her 17th birthday in May is very high.

Quan Hongchan – (China, Diving)

Hongchan’s second Olympic outing would be expected to give birth to more medals having won five World Championship golds since winning the Olympic title.

Before she turned 17, he set a world record in Tokyo when she defeated 15-year-old teammate Chen Yuxi, to earn a perfect scores from all seven judges on two of her five dives.

Once the tournament commences the Chinese diver would start as the defending champions in the women’s 10-meters category.

Summer McIntosh – (Canada, Swimming)

If you’re to talk about great Olympians who had an indelible mark on the game in terms of swimming, it’s definitely Micheal Phelps, but with the emergence of Summer she seems to be the next big time in the sport.

With the Olympic Games lurking around the record breaking 17-year-old Canadian swimming, is ready to make a splash at her second outing in Paris.

Being the world-record holder in the 400-meter individual medley and second-fastest woman in history both in 400 and 800-meters freestyle, the fans would want to see her conjure magic in the water once again in the 200m butterfly and 400m individual medley.

Lola Tambling – (Great Britain, Skateboarding)

Lola, alongside fellow teenager Sky Brown who became Britain’s youngest Olympic medalist in 2021, would join hands together to launch an assault on gold in skateboarding.

Interestingly, Lola’s journey to the games began when she was just seven, having being inspired by her parents instincts of opening a skatepark in Cornwall.

The Olympic Games in France would definitely be a perfect platform for the 16-year-old to test her readiness, having finished sixth at last year’s World Championship.

Toby Roberts – (Great Britain, Climbing)

19-year-old Toby Roberts was the first British to qualify for Olympic climbing, interestingly, he would be joined by Hamish McArthur in making history in Paris.

The youngster made his first recorded climb at age three, clinching his first lead world cup title at the Chamonix.

If he’s able maintain his consistency ahead of the Olympic Games, his without mincing word one of the climbers to triumph at this year’s event.

Quincy Wilson – (USA, Athletics)

Not many athletes is as fortunate as Quincy, having being named on the USA’s 4x400m relay squad for Paris after finishing sixth in the final with a 44.94secs to make history.

With him being the youngest in history to be selected to represent team USA in track and field, he must justify why they trust him to be listed among the squad ahead of Olympic Games.

Since he broke an under-18 world record in the 400m that had stood for 42 years when he clocked 44.66secs in the heats at the US trials in June, then he’s capable of achieving more success in France.

Penny Healey – (Great Britain, Archery)

It’s interesting to hear that Penny who was inspired to try archery after watching a film called Brave, was also shortlisted for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the year in 2023.

Now with the Olympic Games looming the 19-year-old would make her debut in France this year and she must bring her amazing talent to fore.

She would compete in the women’s individual and team events in Paris after helping Great Britain wins bronze at the final qualifying event in Antalya.

Emma Finucane – (Great Britain, Cycling)

21-year-old Emma would be heading to Paris as a world and European champion, having won two Olympic golds and six world sprint titles.

For a talented cyclist like a Emma who is well revered alongside Becky James and Pendleton, the British must be lucky to have her.

It would be a total shock if she fails to deliver at this year Olympic Games, considering her history as the third British woman to have won a world sprint gold which came after she recorded the fastest ever 200m by a woman.

Abigail Martin – (Great Britain, Gymnastics)

Like Yamal, Abigail Martin just completed her exams and won’t know her results when she makes her Olympic debut in France.

However, the 16-year-old artistic gymnast would be Great Britain’s youngest athlete in Paris,  having already boasts a European silver medal as part of the British women’s team at this year’s championship in Italy.

Considering the fact that she has won three medals at the British Championships, and clinched floor bronze at the 2024 Osijek World Cup to make the squad, a lot would be expected of her at this year tournament.
