Head coach of Shooting Stars, Edith Agoye, has called for more support for the club as they begin to settle down into Nigeria’s topflight league.
Agoye made this known in a chat with journalists ahead of his side’s tie with champions, Akwa United, this weekend.
The newly-promoted Shooting Stars had in the match-day one pulled a surprise by securing a valuable goalless draw against Gombe United at Pantami stadium.
While fielding questions from newsmen ahead of showdown at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday, Agoye urged the fans to come out in their number and back the club.
“We urge our fans to continue to support and back us, on our part we promise to do our best and be competitive in all games we will play to bring the club back to the desired position in the league,” he said.
Shooting Stars will face Akwa United at the Adamasingba Stadium on Sunday.
