Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has received a three-match touchline ban and a £55,000 fine after accepting a misconduct charge from the Football Association (FA) originating from his dismissal during a match against Brighton.

The incident occurred after Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off for a second yellow card in the 2-2 draw at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton’s manager, Fabian Hurzeler encroached onto the field to protest Gibbs-White’s challenge on Joao Pedro, which contributed to Nuno’s angry reaction and subsequent red card from referee Robert Jones.

Gibbs-White has also faced consequences, receiving a one-match suspension and a £20,000 fine from an independent regulatory commission.

The FA’s statement confirmed that the Nottingham Forest head coach, along with his player and Brighton coach Fabian Hurzeler, admitted to their respective charges.

As a result of the commission’s ruling, Nuno’s three-match touchline ban includes a two-match suspension activated from a previously suspended ban.

Gibbs-White’s suspension adds to the team’s challenges, while Hurzeler was fined £8,000 after accepting the standard penalty.
