Nigerian youngster Mishel Nduka has confirmed his exit from Charlton Athletic after eight years with the club – www.isagoal.com reports.
The teenage midfielder, who was one of Charlton’s brightest academy products, shared an emotional farewell on Instagram thanking his family and coaches for their support.
According to Complete Sports, Nduka is expected to continue his football journey at Arsenal’s Hale End Academy, a move that has generated excitement among fans.
He wrote: “After 8 years at Charlton Athletic FC, my time with the club has come to an end. Charlton will always have a special place in my heart. On to the next chapter.”
Arsenal secured his commitment ahead of rival Premier League clubs Brighton and Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who had also shown interest.
At Hale End, Nduka will sign schoolboy terms, making him eligible for the Under-16 and Under-18 squads while preparing for a scholarship deal when he turns 16.
His long-term aim is to earn a professional contract and break into senior football, following the example of Alex Iwobi, Bukayo Saka, Chuba Akpom and Ethan Nwaneri.
Nduka already caught attention last season when he made his Charlton U18 debut against Watford, showcasing his potential despite the team’s defeat.
