Nigeria’s Super Eagles will step into action this November with two international friendlies against Venezuela and Colombia as part of their preparation for upcoming competitions – www.isagoal.com reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation revealed the fixtures through its communications team, confirming that the matches were arranged to fine-tune the squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
According to reports, the first encounter will see the Eagles battle Venezuela at the Shell Energy Stadium in Houston on Friday, November 14, 2025, kicking off at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Just four days later, the team will lock horns with Copa America champions Colombia at Citi Field in New York on Tuesday, November 18, with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
“These games are designed to test the team against top-quality opponents before the Nations Cup,” the federation explained.
The matches also serve as crucial rehearsals before Nigeria’s next 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign begins next month.
Fans will remember Nigeria’s last U.S. tour in 2022, when José Peseiro’s men lost narrowly to Mexico in Dallas and Ecuador in New Jersey, with Cyriel Dessers scoring the only Nigerian goal.
After recent positive results against South Africa and Rwanda, the team heads into these fixtures determined to sharpen their form against South American heavyweights.
