Man Utd Close to Securing Midfielder’s Signature with Personal Terms Already Agreed

Manchester United have made significant progress in their pursuit of Manuel Ugarte, with Paris Saint-Germain open to a loan deal for the midfielder.

Ugarte joined PSG from Sporting Lisbon last year and has emerged as a prime target for Erik ten Hag who is keen to bolster his midfield this summer.

Despite previously rejecting Chelsea, Ugarte has fallen down the pecking order at PSG with Joao Neves set to join from Benfica.

After initial talks hit a roadblock last month due to PSG’s £60 million fee demand, reports now suggest that Manchester United will propose an initial season-long loan deal with a loan fee, including a substantial option-to-buy clause.

The Uruguayan is keen on a move to Old Trafford and has already agreed to personal terms, making this deal even more likely as the transfer window progresses.

This summer, United have already signed Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.

Unfortunately, Yoro is out for up to three months with a fractured metatarsal sustained during his second pre-season game.

Rasmus Hojlund also suffered a hamstring injury in the same game against Arsenal and will be sidelined for six weeks.

Additionally, Marcus Rashford and Antony limped off during United’s recent victory over Real Betis, though the severity of their injuries is unknown.

With Hojlund and Yoro missing the start of the Premier League season, United are accelerating their transfer activities.

They are targeting reinforcements in defense and attack, considering Brentford striker Ivan Toney, Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt, and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite.
