Victor Lindelof’s wife, Maja, will not be attending the Europa League final in Bilbao on Wednesday, as she is heavily pregnant with the couple’s third child. Despite her husband’s pivotal role in the upcoming match against Tottenham, Maja has decided to stay at home. In a post on Instagram, she humorously revealed that her “week’s plan” consists of eating chocolate and sleeping as she prepares for the arrival of their baby.
According to MailOnline, many players’ families and friends will be at the stadium to cheer on Manchester United in their pursuit of silverware. However, Maja’s decision to remain at home is based on her due date being close, making travel risky. The couple, who wed in 2018, already have two sons, aged six and three.
Maja had previously shared a distressing experience when their youngest son, Francis, had a serious accident. The injury occurred before a Manchester United match against Lyon, leading Victor to leave the game early. She explained on social media, “An hour before the [Lyon] game started, our babysitter called and said they were in an ambulance on the way to hospital.” Francis had fallen and split his forehead open, requiring plastic surgery. Fortunately, he is now recovering well, and Maja expressed relief that the operation was a success.

With her third child due soon, Maja has opted to relax at home, keeping her focus on her family. Meanwhile, Victor continues to prepare for the Europa League final, with the possibility of playing a key role for United.
