Robert Lewandowski says he was left speechless after seeing Lamine Yamal train for the first time — www.isagoal.com reports.
In an interview with FC Barcelona media, the striker recalled that session as a moment he will never forget.
“It took only 50 minutes for me to see he had something special,” Lewandowski said.
He admitted he never thought a 15-year-old could possess such quality.
The Polish forward also praised Barcelona’s other young talents, saying they push him to stay sharp.
“I can’t compete with their pace, but we help each other grow,” he noted.
On his own form, Lewandowski insisted age hasn’t slowed him down.
“They’re the ones chasing me, not the other way around,” he joked.
Discussing the Ballon d’Or, he backed Yamal, Raphinha, and Pedri as future winners.
