Jadon Sancho recently hailed Jurgen Klopp as a “legend” following the German coach’s return to Borussia Dortmund for a special event.
Klopp returned to Signal Iduna Park to manage a Dortmund legends team during testimonial matches for club icons Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski.
After the game, Klopp celebrated with the crowd, prompting Dortmund to share a clip on Instagram. Sancho, who played for Dortmund for four seasons, commented on the post, calling Klopp a “legend.”
This came shortly after Klopp’s past comments on Sancho’s situation at Manchester United resurfaced.
Following his departure from Liverpool, Klopp expressed confusion over Sancho’s treatment at United.
Sancho was signed for £72 million in 2021 but was later loaned out twice, including a recent move to Chelsea.
Klopp questioned why United didn’t show more faith in the winger, saying: “If the whole world loses trust, the manager should be behind the player.”

Despite suggesting he may never manage again, Klopp couldn’t hide his emotions upon returning to Dortmund.

“I wanted to have that again,” he said, comparing his love for his three clubs, Dortmund, Liverpool, and Mainz to loving three children equally.
