Former Tottenham striker Harry Kane has extended his well-wishes to Dominic Solanke, following the latter’s record-breaking transfer to Spurs from Bournemouth.
The former Liverpool player became Tottenham’s new club-record signing over the weekend, completing a £65 million move.
Kane believes he will be a significant asset to Tottenham as they look to fill the gap left by Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich last summer.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Kane said, “Dom is a great player with high intensity and speed. He’ll get plenty of chances with the way Ange plays. I think it’s a really good signing. I’ve seen him in the dressing room there and I just wished him all the best and of course I hope he has a great season.”
Postecoglou also expressed confidence in Solanke, “He was one I was very keen to get in. It took a while, but I think he’ll be a great fit for us. He’s had to work his way up, which shows his resilience,” said the former Celtic manager.
Solanke had a standout season with 19 Premier League goals for Bournemouth. He was introduced to the Spurs fans during their final pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich.
