Wilfred Ndidi wants to join Manchester United this summer, even with Juventus, Everton, and Al Ahli circling for his signature, IsaGoal can report.
According to Soccernet.ng, former Super Eagles striker Julius Aghahowa claims Ndidi prefers a move to Old Trafford above all other options on the table.
Ndidi, 28, has one year left on his contract with Leicester City after their drop to the Championship and is available for a cut-price fee due to a relegation release clause.
Juventus have reportedly held initial talks with his agents, while Premier League rivals Everton and Fulham have shown active interest.
Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli are also keeping close tabs on the Nigerian international.
“He wants to take a step up by signing for a big club like Manchester United,” Aghahowa told Africafoot. “This would be an excellent move for someone I consider one of the best African midfielders of recent years.”
Ndidi joined Leicester in 2017 and quickly became one of the Premier League’s top ball-winners, known for his pressing and tactical discipline.
Despite their drop, Leicester hope to sell him for around £12–15 million, though reports suggest United and Everton are negotiating closer to £5 million.
“Wilfred is the player the Red Devils need in midfield,” Aghahowa added. “He’s powerful, covers a lot of ground, and would be a huge asset to Manchester United.”
With pre-season underway, Ndidi’s next move could be finalized before the new campaign begins.
