Manchester United are reportedly among three clubs that striker Jonathan David is keen to join, with the Lille forward preparing for a potential move this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, via Sport Witness, the 25-year-old Canadian international has listed Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Barcelona as his preferred destinations. While all three clubs appeal to him, he is said to favour a move to the Premier League for the upcoming season.

United Remain Quiet Despite David’s Interest

Although David has made his intentions clear, there has been no approach from Manchester United so far. The club recently missed out on signing Liam Delap, who opted for a move from Ipswich Town to Chelsea instead. Additionally, United appear uncertain about their current striking options, including Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

David, who has netted 109 goals in 232 appearances for Lille, is nearing the end of his contract and could be available on a free transfer. Despite that opportunity, it remains unclear whether the Red Devils are seriously considering the forward.

Striker Outlines Ambition for Title-Chasing Club

In a recent interview with The Athletic, David said:

“I want a club with ambition that wants to do something. Obviously, I would love to fight for titles, to win titles. A team that’s competitive, that has ambition, really, with a good sporting project.”

His words underline a desire to join a top-tier club capable of competing at the highest level.

What Lies Ahead for Jonathan David?

David’s next move is yet to be confirmed. Whether he secures a dream switch to Manchester United or remains in Ligue 1 alongside team-mate Angel Gomes, the striker’s record speaks volumes. His consistent goal-scoring ability could be a valuable asset for any team looking to boost their attacking options.
