Bayern Munich have secured the future of teenage forward Wisdom Mike with his first professional contract – www.isagoal.com reports.
According to the club’s official announcement, the 16-year-old has extended his stay with the Bundesliga champions.
Mike made Bayern’s matchday squad last season for a league clash with Werder Bremen but did not feature.
He withdrew from Bayern’s FIFA Club World Cup plans this summer due to school commitments.
The youngster made a late cameo in Bayern’s 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on August 7.
He replaced summer arrival Luis Díaz and impressed with his pace and skill.
Mike began at MSV Duisburg before spells at Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern’s academy.
He represented Germany at the U17 Euros, scoring against Albania in the group stage.
His two-footed ability and acceleration have drawn comparisons to Ousmane Dembélé.
