Everton Women’s team manager, Brian Sorensen, has recently signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2026. Sorensen, a Danish national, took charge of the team last season and guided them to a commendable sixth-place finish in the Women’s Super League.

This season, however, Everton has struggled and currently finds themselves third from bottom in the league table with only four games remaining. Despite the team’s current position, Sorensen remains optimistic about the future.

In an interview with Evertontv, Sorensen expressed his happiness at extending his contract, stating, “I’m very happy – I really like it here. I like the club, I like the people in the club, and I like the fans. There’s a plan in place, and we have a good future and a good squad going forward. It’s important to show in the background that there’s a plan.”

Assistant coach Stephen Neligan has also signed a contract extension until 2026, further highlighting the club’s commitment to stability and long-term success.

Despite Everton’s recent winless streak in all competitions, the team remains focused and determined. Their next challenge will be an away game against Brighton in the Women’s Super League on Friday.
