The UEFA European Under-19 Championship would take centre-stage today, after the completion of the senior tournament that started in June across ten cities in Germany came to an end yesterday in Berlin with ‘La Roja‘ emerging champions of the tournament.

Holders Italy who defeated finalist Portugal will face Norway in Belfast, while hosts Northern Ireland will face Ukraine in Larne in Group A.

Matches in day two would continue in Group B with Denmark slogging it out with Spain, while France would trade-tackle with Turkiye.

The best two teams in each group would go through to the semi-finals and would also qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, while Europe’s fifth World Cup spot will go to the winners of a play-off between the two teams that finish third in their groups.

Francesco Camarda – (Italy)

AC Milan youngster Francesco Camarda as expected made to Italy’s U-19 European Championship squad, having consistently punched above his weight when it comes to age groups competition.
