Claims that Chelsea would sack Graham Potter if the Blues lose their next two matches against Leeds United and Borussia Dortmund have been clarified.
Todd Boehly, a majority shareholder in Chelsea, is reportedly aware of the major mistake made by him and the club.
Although Potter’s tenure so far has not gone well, with the club bowing out of both domestic cups and sitting 10th in the Premier League table, coupled with a one-goal deficit to overturn in the knockouts of the Champions League, Chelsea are determined to stand by him despite mounting pressure from fans.
The Guardian report states that Chelsea are not looking to make a decision based on the results of their next two games and will stay true to giving Potter at least a full pre-season as they aim for long-term success.
Todd Boehly is also aware that his decisions have left Potter dealing with a supersized squad impacting his training sessions negatively.
