Chelsea manager Graham Potter has shockingly revealed the death threats he has been receiving from those who label themselves as “supporters”.
Over the past few months, Potter’s record at Chelsea has been poor, leading to scrutiny and criticism of his management skills.
Todd Boehly, an owner of Chelsea, and other stakeholders have come to his defence, saying they want to support him in “years not in months”, but unfortunately this hasn’t stopped some from sending death threats to the manager.
In a press conference, Potter emotionally described how he had received emails asking for himself and his family to die.
Despite this negative reception from supposed supporters, the former Brighton and Swans boss acknowledged that public criticism comes with the territory of being a football manager and stated that he stays true to himself by always having integrity.
