Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga may be on the verge of a move to Premier League side Bournemouth, who are exploring a loan deal for the Spanish international.
Arrizabalaga spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, but the Spanish club opted not to make the deal permanent.
As a result, Kepa has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea, with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen expected to share first-team duties this season.
The 29-year-old has been training away from the first-team squad for a number of weeks under the tutelage of former Blues keeper Carlo Cudicini but now appears to be closing in on a move away from Stamford Bridge.
The Athletic reports that Bournemouth is keen on securing Arrizabalaga on loan, but Chelsea would need to extend his current contract, which expires at the end of the season, before any deal can be finalized.
Bournemouth is also considering Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who has attracted interest from Wolves.
Chelsea, meanwhile, continues to offload players, with Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell among the high-profile names linked with exits.
Romelu Lukaku is also close to leaving, with a potential return to Serie A with Napoli.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have not ruled out more incoming transfers this window, with Maresca hinting that they are still interested in recruiting another striker.
‘If we have the chance to bring in a nine that can help us and make the difference, then we are going to try. Otherwise, we are okay,’ the Italian said.
‘We do not need to sign players just to sign players. If we sign players and they help us to improve, then for sure we need players. Otherwise, we are happy with the way we are.’
