Aston Villa has confirmed the departure of 13 players at the end of June, including senior professionals Robin Olsen and Kortney Hause, according to the Premier League website.
The list of players released includes nine free transfers, such as goalkeeper Robin Olsen and centre back Kortney Hause, along with seven younger squad members moving on. Other players leaving are Todd Alcock, Mikell Barnes, Ajani Burchall, Charlie Lutz, Kobei Moore, Kyrie Pierre, and Rico Richards.
Also released are Max Asante-Boakye, Alexander Hammond, Max Lott, and Nile Timson. Olsen joined Villa in 2022 after a loan from Roma but remained backup to Emi Martinez, making just 22 appearances in all competitions. Reports suggest Olsen is likely to return to Malmo.
Hause signed permanently in 2019 after a loan spell from Wolves. He made 55 appearances for Villa but struggled with injuries following a loan to Watford in 2022. His last game for Villa’s first team was in 2023, with a brief Under-21 appearance in April 2025.
“Robin Olsen has been a reliable squad member, and we thank him for his time at the club,” a club source said.
The departures mark a significant shift as Aston Villa looks to refresh their squad ahead of the next Premier League season.
