Arsenal Suffer Double Injury Blow as Title Hopes Fade

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Arsenal’s Premier League ambitions took another hit as Mikel Arteta confirmed that Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will remain sidelined until after the March international break.

The Gunners, held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest, lacked attacking firepower, missing key figures like Saka, Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus. Despite dominating possession with 65%, they failed to pose a serious threat.

When asked about Saka and Martinelli’s potential return before the break, Arteta was doubtful. “I don’t think so, no,” he admitted. Pressed on their availability for Arsenal’s April 1 clash with Fulham, he was equally cautious: “I think so, but let’s see how they evolve.”

This timeline means the duo will miss both legs of Arsenal’s Champions League last-16 tie against PSV Eindhoven, as well as key Premier League encounters with Manchester United and Chelsea.

Season Outlook: Can Arsenal Still Compete?

The stalemate at Forest leaves Arsenal 13 points adrift of leaders Liverpool. While they have a game in hand, closing the gap seems improbable. They’ve now gone two consecutive league matches without scoring—an alarming stat for a side chasing silverware.

Teenager Ethan Nwaneri, just 17, was thrust into the attack but struggled to replicate Saka’s influence. The Gunners remain defensively solid, boasting the league’s best record with only 23 goals conceded. However, recent performances suggest opponents have found a blueprint to frustrate them.

With their attack depleted, Arsenal could struggle against PSV and other high-caliber opponents. Their defensive resilience might carry them through, but without their attacking stars, the road ahead looks increasingly uncertain.
