Arsenal have officially confirmed the £48 million signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea, sealing a five-year deal for the 23-year-old winger, IsaGoal can report.

TBR Football revealed the move has caused uproar among Arsenal fans, with a petition titled “No to Madueke” already gaining over 5,000 signatures.

Madueke, who grew up in north London, left Chelsea’s Club World Cup tour to complete his medical with Arsenal and finalize terms.

The deal includes performance-based add-ons, potentially taking the total fee to over £52 million.

Fans have expressed anger, vandalising murals outside the Emirates with phrases like “Arteta Out.”

Despite the backlash, Mikel Arteta praised his new signing, saying: “Noni is an exciting and powerful young player… He is one of the most talented wide forward players in the Premier League.”

The manager added: “His arrival will really improve our squad. We’re all thrilled to have him here.”

Madueke said: “I’m really happy and really proud. It’s great to go back home, be with my mum, my dad… I know my mum misses me in the house!”

He aims to compete for silverware with Arsenal, stating: “I want to win all the competitions we’re in. I feel like we’re definitely capable of doing that.”

He scored 11 goals last season for Chelsea and helped them qualify for the Champions League while winning the UEFA Conference League.

Madueke joins a summer intake that includes Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Arsenal’s spending now nears £120 million, with Cristhian Mosquera’s £13 million arrival still pending.
