Arsenal have no plans to sell Ethan Nwaneri this summer despite growing interest from Chelsea, Isagoal can report. The teenager remains a key part of Mikel Arteta’s long-term vision, and the club has made it clear that no offers—regardless of size—will be considered.
According to Football Insider, Chelsea have identified Nwaneri as a possible replacement for Noni Madueke, who appears close to joining Arsenal. Still, Arsenal have offered Nwaneri a new contract, with just one year left on his current deal.
The 18-year-old, eligible to represent both Nigeria and England, is taking time to assess his future, with sources suggesting he’s keen on more game time and role clarity before committing.
Nwaneri recently helped England lift the UEFA U21 Championship title and is also being watched by Super Eagles boss Eric Chelle for a potential national team switch.
He featured 37 times for Arsenal in the 2024–25 season, mostly as a substitute, but still managed to score nine goals and assist twice—impressive numbers for a player his age.
“I just want to play more and keep improving,” Nwaneri reportedly told close associates after the season.
His Premier League debut at 15 years and 181 days still holds the record as the youngest ever.
