Andy Robertson has confirmed ongoing contract talks with Liverpool as the Premier League champions target summer moves for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez. The left-back, who joined Liverpool in 2017, is preparing for fresh competition if Kerkez arrives.

According to the Liverpool Echo, discussions between Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes and Bournemouth’s Simon Francis are progressing over a potential £45 million deal for Kerkez. The Reds are also monitoring Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, valued at £126 million.

Speaking to Sky Sports News during a charity golf event, Robertson said, “We have discussed it, of course we have. We’ve had good discussions, but what the future holds I am not sure. Tomorrow I fly off on holiday, and that’s my focus now.”

At 31, Robertson is nearing the final phase of his current deal. Liverpool’s interest in Kerkez signals potential competition for the left-back position. Meanwhile, Wirtz continues to attract attention as a key summer target.
