Akinsanmiro Impresses in Serie A, chases Super Eagles call-up

Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro delivers a man-of-the-match display for Pisa against Fiorentina as he chases a Super Eagles call-up in Serie A

Ebenezer Akinsanmiro impressed once again for Pisa in Serie A as the young Nigerian midfielder delivered a commanding performance against Fiorentina – www.isagoal.com reports.

The Inter Milan loanee, who previously played at Sampdoria, has quickly become an important figure for Pisa after joining on another season-long loan.

The 20-year-old former Remo Stars player was constantly in the thick of the action and finished as the most fouled man on the pitch at the Stadio Romeo Anconetani.

His precision stood out with a 94% passing accuracy, while he also won the most duels in the contest to cap off a man-of-the-match performance.

Akinsanmiro spoke after the game, admitting that it was a battle in midfield but also a major personal milestone.

“It was a very tough game in midfield for me, but I’m happy because it’s my first time winning best player on the pitch,” he told DAZN via Tutto Mercato Web.

He explained that the result could have been different with sharper finishing, adding, “We played with great determination, we deserved more.”

The midfielder has featured in three of Pisa’s five Serie A games so far, cementing his place as a starter and drawing attention from Super Eagles selectors.

Akinsanmiro is determined to keep improving and has his eyes on helping Pisa remain in the Italian top flight by the end of the season.

His consistent growth at just 20 years old has raised optimism about a potential call-up to Nigeria’s senior national team in the coming months.
