Nottingham Forest have extended the contract of Super Eagles defender Ola Aina, according to the Premier League’s official website.
The Premier League confirmed that Nottingham Forest submitted their retained list ahead of the deadline, with Ola Aina included for the 2025–2026 season. The club exercised the option to extend Aina’s contract by one year in May 2024, which initially kept him at the City Ground until the end of the 2024–2025 season.
With the new contract now agreed, Aina will remain with Nottingham Forest until at least June 30, 2026.
Since joining the club from Torino on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, Aina has become an important figure at Nottingham Forest. His performances helped the team secure a place in next season’s UEFA Conference League.
The Super Eagles star made thirty-five Premier League appearances last season, starting every match. He also contributed two goals and one assist in the campaign.
Speaking on his continued stay, Aina said, “I’m happy to be here, I’ve enjoyed every moment at this club and I’m looking forward to what’s next.”
Despite reported interest from Manchester City and Turkish side Galatasaray, Nottingham Forest are determined to keep the Nigerian defender as part of their squad for the upcoming season.
