Rafael Leao Mimics Boniface Celebration, Sends Bold Message

Rafael Leao hails Victor Boniface ahead of his AC Milan move, copying his celebration live on Twitch while giving an honest update on his own recovery

Rafael Leao has expressed excitement about Victor Boniface’s imminent arrival at AC Milan and even copied the Nigerian striker’s trademark celebration during a Twitch stream – www.isagoal.com reports.

According to sportal.it, Leao reacted while watching clips of Boniface scoring for Bayer Leverkusen and smiled as he mimicked the forward’s unique celebration.

“He’s the type of player I like,” Leao said with enthusiasm, before sending encouragement to Milan fans about his new strike partner.

The Portuguese winger added another message that quickly caught attention.

“Great things await us on the horizon,” Leao said, while also giving an update on his recovery from injury.

“How am I? Good, we’re proceeding step by step,” he explained when asked about his physical condition.

The 26-year-old is currently sidelined and will miss Milan’s Serie A opener against Cremonese, but he assured fans of steady progress.

Meanwhile, Victor Boniface is edging closer to completing his move to San Siro after AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen reached a verbal agreement.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal includes an initial €5 million loan and a €24 million buy option that is not mandatory.

Boniface is expected to sign his contract once he passes medical tests, finalizing the transfer.

The Nigerian striker, 24, is joining Milan after his minutes decreased under new Leverkusen coach Erik ten Hag, who preferred Patrick Schick.

Despite being under contract until 2028, Boniface pushed for the switch to guarantee more regular playing time in a competitive environment.

The Rossoneri identified him as the ideal partner to complement Leao and strengthen their attacking line after Swiss forward Noah Okafor left for Leeds United.

Leao’s warm welcome and Boniface’s hunger for minutes now set the stage for an exciting attacking partnership at San Siro this season.
