South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the capture of Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro on a permanent deal — www.isagoal.com reports.
According to the club’s statement published on their website, the 24-year-old forward arrives with topflight experience after spells at AmaZulu, SuperSport United, and Chippa United.
Etiosa is the younger brother of former Nigeria striker Osaguona Ighodaro, who featured for the Super Eagles during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sudan.
Before moving to South Africa in 2021, the attacker honed his skills at Abuja Football College and represented them in the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy.
He also had a stint at the University of Pretoria, further shaping his development before breaking into the Premiership.
Kaizer Chiefs sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jr. praised the arrival, saying: “We warmly welcome Etiosa into the Kaizer Chiefs family. His passion, work rate and dedication will surely add to the team this season and beyond.”
For the 2025–2026 campaign, the striker has been handed the number 50 shirt but was not part of the squad in Tuesday’s 1-0 victory over Richards Bay.
