Besiktas president Serdal Adali has praised Wilfred Ndidi as the perfect replacement for club legend Atiba Hutchinson — www.isagoal.com reports.
Speaking to Fanatik, Adali highlighted Ndidi’s consistency and leadership as key reasons he fits the role Hutchinson left behind.
Hutchinson retired in 2023 after ten years, winning three Turkish Süper Lig titles plus the Turkish Cup and Super Cup with Besiktas.
Ndidi recently ended eight years at Leicester City and signed a three-year deal with Besiktas, with an option for the 2028–2029 season.
The Nigerian midfielder, known as one of the Premier League’s finest defensive midfielders, now carries the number 4 jersey.
Adali said, “Ndidi has become a symbol of Leicester City, a symbol of consistency. He will fill the void felt by our fans after Atiba.”
The Turkish Football Federation has approved Ndidi’s playing license, clearing him for league action this season.
Alongside new signing Orkun, who Adali believes will also become a club legend, Ndidi is expected to lead Besiktas to new successes.
