Chelsea has announced the official squad numbers for the 2025-2026 season, with Nigerian-eligible Tosin Adarabioyo and young winger Tyrique George receiving their shirts ahead of the Premier League opener against Crystal Palace—www.isagoal.com reports.
According to the club’s release, Tosin will continue wearing the iconic No. 4, maintaining his place as a key defender since joining from Fulham in 2024.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Tosin recently deepened his ties with Nigeria by launching the Tosin Adarabioyo Youth Cup in Lagos and receiving an African Illustrious Award for his efforts in football and youth development.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old George has earned the No. 32 jersey after breaking into the first team last season, contributing eight goal involvements in 26 matches.
Despite Borussia Dortmund’s interest, George’s squad number confirms Chelsea’s plans for him in the upcoming campaign.
“This is a proud moment, and I’m ready to give my all this season,” Tosin stated.
Both players represent Chelsea’s commitment to nurturing talent with Nigerian roots while preparing for a competitive season ahead.
