Marvin Ekpiteta has officially moved to MK Dons after departing Hibernian with two years left on his contract—www.isagoal.com reports.
Sources reveal the 29-year-old defender ended his stint in Scotland after just one season, during which he made 17 appearances and scored once in a dominant 5-0 win over Elgin City.
Ekpiteta’s second half of the last season was hampered by fitness struggles, limiting his time on the pitch.
Before Hibernian, the former Flying Eagles centre-back gained valuable experience in five English leagues, tallying over 300 senior appearances.
He began his career at Oxford United’s academy, then spent four seasons at Blackpool, playing 143 games, netting 12 goals, and earning the club’s Player of the Season award after helping them secure Championship promotion.
Ekpiteta also shined with Leyton Orient, achieving promotion to League Two, and developed his game in National League South with clubs like Chelmsford City and Concord Rangers.
Now, he aims to bring leadership and stability to MK Dons’ backline as they push forward this season.
