Ademola Lookman’s potential switch from Atalanta to Inter Milan looks set to happen sooner than expected, with talks progressing after a revised proposal — www.isagoal.com reports.
According to FCInterNews, Atalanta no longer insist on the initial €50 million valuation that previously stalled negotiations.
Inter’s latest offer came in at €45 million, and while short of the full figure, it appears to have changed the tone of discussions.
Sources suggest a written bid convinced Atalanta to reconsider their rigid position and enter advanced stages of talks.
The club may now agree to part ways with Lookman for a fee closer to €48 million, just shy of the original asking price.
“Inter are confident, but still exploring alternative plans in case things shift,” said a source familiar with the situation.
That backup option reportedly includes Juventus’ winger Nico Gonzalez, who could step in if the Lookman deal collapses.
Still, Inter remain focused on bringing in the 27-year-old Nigeria international before preseason closes.
Negotiations are ongoing, with both sides keen to finalize the transfer soon.
Lookman, who’s been pivotal for Atalanta, could be headed for San Siro in the coming days.
