Fulham’s Alex Iwobi has announced a stop to his behind-the-scenes dressing room content, following new restrictions from the club’s media staff, www.isagoal.com reports.
Known for sharing locker room moments and glimpses into his daily routine, Iwobi addressed fans through a video on Snapchat, confirming he will no longer post such content due to the risk of club sanctions.
Reports revealed that Fulham’s media department issued a directive banning video recordings in the changing room, warning players of possible fines if the rule is broken.
“There’s a staff member on the media team who said the club plans to sanction any more BTS content,” Iwobi shared. “So if I keep posting, I might be fined.”
He added, “They’re planning to ban Snapchat entirely in our dressing room, so that’s the reason I stopped posting.”
Though fans have enjoyed his candid moments, Iwobi expressed that he must now follow the club’s decision.
“It’s unfortunate. I know you guys liked seeing our vibe off the pitch, but I have to respect Fulham’s rules,” he said.
Previously, games like Fulham vs Nottingham Forest were dubbed ‘Snapchat derbies’ due to frequent posts by Iwobi and Ola Aina.
Currently, Iwobi co-hosts “The Bassey and Iwobi Show” on Fulham’s YouTube channel.
