Ola Aina believes Nottingham Forest must push beyond last season’s progress as they prepare for the upcoming 2025/26 season, Isagoal can report.
The Nigerian full-back, in an interview with the club’s official website following their friendly with AS Monaco, urged the team to aim higher after earning a spot in the UEFA Europa League—a goal few thought possible.
As reported by Nottingham Forest FC’s official site, Aina appeared 35 times in the league, notching two goals and one assist in what turned out to be one of Forest’s most impressive Premier League runs in recent memory.
“Last pre-season really laid the foundation, so we’re hoping to hit those levels again and push even more this time,” Aina remarked.
He praised the squad’s energy and intent, noting, “We’ve set a good standard now. It’s about maintaining that and raising it where we can.”
He added, “We’re not here to settle. We’re working hard and focused on moving forward, not backward.”
With a new contract signed over the summer, Aina looks set to be a key figure as Forest heads into European competition while also aiming to keep their strong domestic momentum going.
