Ebuka Reunites With Coach Sami at Ittihad on Two-Year Deal

Nigerian forward John Ebuka links up again with Ahmed Sami at Ittihad after leaving Masry SC, raising hopes for a sharper frontline this season

Egyptian Premier League club Ittihad of Alexandria have completed the signing of Nigerian striker John Ebuka on a two-year deal, Isagoal can report. The 28-year-old joins the Alexandria-based side after a short stint with Masry, where he found the net once in 12 appearances since arriving in January from Ceramica Cleopatra.

According to Ahram Online, this move marks a reunion between Ebuka and coach Ahmed Sami, who previously worked with the striker at Ceramica Cleopatra. Under Sami’s guidance, Ebuka scored three goals and provided one assist in 14 league games.

“Working with Coach Sami again is a great opportunity,” Ebuka said. “He understands how to get the best out of me.”

Ittihad aims to sharpen their attacking edge by relying on Ebuka’s Premier League experience, which includes 33 goals and eight assists across 114 appearances with ENPPI, Ceramica Cleopatra, and Masry.

The club has been active in the market, landing several names this window. New arrivals include Mohamed Toni and Kanaria in a swap deal involving Mohamed El-Maghrabi, as well as Mahmoud Ajeeb and Nour Alaa.

Ittihad also added Abdelrahman Boudy, goalkeeper Genish, Ahmed Mahmoud, Isaac Saviour, and Mohamed Sami as they gear up for the new campaign.
