Nigeria controlled possession from the start but couldn’t convert their dominance into goals.
Divine Oliseh had a golden chance in the 30th minute after a dazzling solo run but failed to hit the target.
Earlier, Niger nearly took the lead following a defensive error, but goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt made a vital save in the 24th minute.
Muhammed Abdullahi also tested the Nigerien backline, but they held firm under pressure.
In the second half, Nigeria maintained their attacking momentum but found no way through Niger’s organized defense.
Oliseh tried again in the dying minutes, firing from the edge of the box, but his shot went inches wide.
With no goals after 90 minutes, the match went to penalties.
Harcourt came up big again, saving a crucial kick and helping Nigeria secure a 4–3 win in the shootout.
He was named Player of the Match for his standout performance between the posts.
The Flying Eagles will now meet either Ghana or Ivory Coast in the final.
